First of all, sorry for the noise. I used to having noise canceling in the middle positioned pick up switch of my other guitars. With this one noise gets canceled in bridge and neck position. That combined with a higher compression setting and yeah...noise. So...ups.

Anyway,

oh man, do I have a hard time deciding whether to keep this guitar or not. It's different in so many ways, which is the interesting part. Playing my other guitars, after having this one in my hands for a while, I really feel the differences and characteristics of each one, which is a good thing. But in some ways I have to take a minute to adapt to a classic shape again.

With the Strandberg Essential, I play very different and feel invited learning scales and playing faster. In this way it makes me want to become better at playing guitar, but it makes me think more about my playing. With my usual guitars it's grab and play, fine.

Did you ever had the concern that some piece of equipment maybe could pull you out of your musical comfort zone? In a way it feels like I'm betraving the guitar player I've become over the years, and taking a step into a musical direction I usually don't play that much, is the same way interesting as it is concerning.

Okay, that sounds weird... but it's a weird guitar.
