Emilio Arrieta: Harp solo | Susana Cermeño · MarchVivo
In 1883, for the first time in Spain, a competition for harp professor was announced at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid. For this competition, Emilio Arrieta, an acclaimed composer of zarzuela and Director of the Conservatory at the time, was commissioned to compose a new work: a Solo for harp. Forgotten since then, this composition returns to the light after almost a century and a half with this world premiere in modern times.
