Sabeth Pérez & Gabriel Pérez - Eco | WDR BIG BAND
The Sabeth Pérez (vocals) and Gabriel Pérez (alto saxophone) duo perform together with the WDR BIG BAND on "Eco" (composed by Sabeth Pérez / arranged by Gabriel Pérez) under the direction of Stefan Pfeifer-Galilea.
The concert, titled "La Adivina", took place at the WDR Funkhaus in Köln (November 2024). Additional solos were performed by guest musicians Martin Scales on guitar and Ruud Breuls on flügelhorn.
Sabeth Pérez' inspiration for this new program came from spirituality: the legends of the South American seer Adivina tell stories of her supernatural powers, which bring hope to people for their personal futures. This was adapted by Sabeth and her father, Argentine arranger Gabriel Pérez, into modern South American jazz.
