Alexandra Whittingham - La foule (Arr. Dyens for Guitar)
My new single La Foule is out now! From my upcoming album Letters From Paris
La Foule is a song about two lovers who are united then separated by an excited crowd, capturing both the thrill of romance and the cruelty of parting.
I was inspired by the work of Edith Piaf, the French singer and songwriter whose raw emotional power has captured hearts across the world since the 1940s. Her classic song La Foule is reimagined here with a new arrangement by the talented Roland Dyens, Tunisian-born French guitarist and composer who is one of my idols.
