Devour Music

Here’s a traditional ballad from Madison County, NC, a county over from where my family is from. It comes from Lisha Shelton and was captured on the “Old Love Songs and Ballads” compilation album which also features my favorite, Dillard Chandler. I am wearing a blouse from the early 1900s that my friend Dan Joyce gifted me. He lives in Blacksburg VA and is a historian, photographer and Vietnam Vet. This is my Carolina Banjo Company Banjo!
