When considering my Christmas Day upload, this was the first song that came to mind. I was privileged to have Wes Boyd lay down the vocals for this track. From a guitar perspective, it is a very straightforward "campfire song" to play. Please enjoy the track, and if you leave a comment, take a moment to let Wes know what you think of his performance! I've seen Elvis Costello in concert more than any other artist. The first time was at Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco with Nick Lowe (songwriter of this song) and Mink DeVille in 1978. I met Elvis C. in Santa Cruz after a soundcheck. My girlfriend and I waited for it to finish in hopes of meeting him and getting an autograph. When my girlfriend saw him, she completely froze and couldn't speak. I yelled out, "Hey, Elvis!" and he replied, "Yeah?" I asked, "Can I get your autograph?" to which he replied, "Sure!" He was very nice and courteous, and he even made sure to spell her name properly. Hello 'S', wherever you are! This year kicked my ass - literally. Posting videos and allowing comments has been cathartic for me. Thank you for all your kind words, I really appreciate it. I hope this video brings you some amount of joy.
