Devour Music

Today was one of those days where I sat behind the drums, and the kit simply sounded outstanding; I knew I had to record it to document it somehow. Maybe it was a result of me trying out some newly acquired ribbon mics - can't wait to start using that in future recordings, stay tuned. I opted to record it against a track. And with Adam Nitti's tune 'Distraction', I got to groove hard, and even showcase the thunderous drums on a short improvised solo at the end. In fact, during the recording process I found myself in awe of the tones coming through the headphones that I lost concentration to spectating - hah. The track is great, full of off beat hits and turns, dynamic shifts enough to keep me on my toes. Thanks for checkin it out, and hope to share some more recordings before the end of the year.
