Minimal Ambient Drone with Tape Loop and OP-1 field | Babel 2026-04-02 by atnr
A minimal ambient piece built from drone textures created with micro loop from tape loop, plucked tones, and distorted synth sounds.
Created with @KORG_INC volca fm2, @teenageengineering OP-1 field, and tape loop.
The volca fm2 is played through monotron DELAY to add distortion, then through @strymon blueSky with reverb.
On the tape player, a one minute piano performance is recorded on an endless tape and played back. The signal runs through @ChaseBlissAudio MOOD MKII to create micro loop textures that form a drone.
On the OP-1 field, the STRING synth is looped using the ENDLESS sequencer. The sound is processed through LOSSY with reverb and filtering.
