Landowska and the Harpsichord Revival | Ituarte · MarchVivo
On November 22, 1905, Polish harpsichordist Wanda Landowska gave her first concert in Spain. The audience witnessed her visionary approach, which consisted of performing the "early" repertoire alternating between harpsichord and piano. Miguel Ituarte revives this program, which explores the music of J. S. Bach and his contemporaries with the same instrumental alternation used by Landowska, equally novel for the contemporary listener.
