Devour Music

Whether the young British musician Laura Jurd draws from jazz or rock, orchestral contemporary music or archaic folklore, her music becomes a multifaceted hybrid that often presents itself as aesthetically and stylistically diverse. The trumpeter and composer is concerned with authenticity and individuality in her music; she is also committed to giving the musicians in her various large ensembles the opportunity to reveal their own identities through their respective personal expressions.
