Covering Rick Graham’s Solo on Jason Richardson’s “Hos Down”-Soulful to Pure Shred
Raw take of Rick Graham's incredible solo from Jason Richardson's "Hos Down."
What makes this solo so special is that it proves you don't have to choose between soul and shred. It begins with beautiful phrasing, melody, and feel, then gradually builds into the technical brilliance Rick Graham is known for.
Too often, guitarists are viewed as either soulful players or technical players. This solo is a perfect example of why the best musicians don't have to sacrifice one for the other.
