"The Great San Bernardino Birthday Party," John Fahey
This month I'm performing Fahey's "The Great San Bernardino Birthday Party" based on a live performance from 1967. Originally recorded in 1965, inspired by events that transpired at Linda Getchell's birthday party, this take represents how he performed the piece in a live setting.
My Patrons will enjoy a full transcription of Fahey's 1967 performance and a video lesson over an hour in duration demonstrating all sections of this epic solo with an emphasis on exploring expression and musicality.
