Devour Music

This song belongs to my relative Julie Boone (b.1868 d.1957). Julie was a bold woman - known for wandering around Yancey county with no shoes on her feet. She was fiercely independent and constantly singing. She had more ballads under her belt than anyone else from the area. It took Cecil Sharp, the folk song collector, three days to run her to earth in 1918. She was a wanderer and a woman I look up to - didn't speak unless spoken to, kept to herself and carried the wealth of countless songs.
