Dark Synth Jams//Soulful Distorted Guitar Solos: OB-6, Prophet-6, Hydrasynth
Watch as it all comes together!
I started with the drum beat, and then the magic happened. Using my trusty OB-6 with my go-to bass arp patch (check out any of my previous jams featuring this patch - I'm sure you'll recognize it!). This provides the perfect foundation for the following synth progression.
The Prophet-6 does an impressive job impersonating a classic Prophet-5, before giving way to a meaty and distorted Hydrasynth riff. And just when you think it's over, I throw in a mean guitar solo on the telecaster with some added depth from the VT-3 reverb, which is truly the greatest guitar reverb out there.
After that, it's back to the synths! We bring in the Korg opsix's 'holy choir' and some crisp hihats courtesy of the PadKontrol connected to the MC-707. And just when you thought it was all over, I sneak in one more solo. That's a wrap for today, everyone!
