We mark the 99th anniversary of the birth (on 18 July) of the legendary conductor Kurt Masur (1927-2015) and present an excerpt from his conducting Richard Strauss's exuberant tone poem 'Till Eulenspiegels lustige Streiche, Op. 28'. This performance was recorded during the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra's 1992 tour and filmed at Frankfurt's Alte Oper.
