Drum Cover by Bryan Macaranas - 'Push On' by Greg Howe (Wheelhouse Album 2017)
Every now and then it's good to attempt a track that would stretch, test and infuriate the brains - might as well make it a track in 5/4 or 5/8 time signature, and 'Push On' by Greg Howe (2017) has always intrigued me, with so many corners and turns that allow some pretty cool rhythmic phrasings that make sit extra fun. If the drum faces on this video is anything to go by, I'm definitely trying hard to not lose the feel. Not playing with a click during the recording gave me a some fluidity/freedom but compromised by the 'potential' to lose the 1 - and that I did!! See if you can find the spot where I do. But as long as you find it again and take it home right? Haaaaah. Fun track to record.
