If you'd like to know a bit more about while(true), please take a gander at the video description for the 'Quality Control' EP, also on my channel. We began working together again earlier this summer, gradually but quickly amassing six tunes.
Presented here is a single from that batch.
I love the rhythmic phrasing of the verse riff, it sounds like the snares are on the downbeat and then the upbeat, and it just pulls my ear every which direction in an enjoyable, stimulating manner. I capitalized on this playfulness.
There's also a tricky fill-in around 1:30 to segue into the second chorus.
I picked up some new cymbals as well as a new snare just before tracking this material. Although none of the new cymbals are featured here, the new snare (5"x14" Pearl Sensitone Heritage Alloy Aluminum) clearly is. It delivered fantastically.
