Sakari Oramo, CBSO - Sibelius: Symphony No. 5 in E Flat Major, Op. 82: III. Allegro molto
We further mark the recent 69th anniversary of the death of Sibelius on 20 September 1957 with this performance of Sakari Oramo conducting the exhilarating finale of Sibelius's Symphony No. 5 in E-flat major, Op. 82, with the City Of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
This performance comes from a 2000 tour concert in which Oramo and the CBSO performed music by Rautavaara, Prokofiev and Sibelius, with pianist Olli Mustonen.
