Aris Quartett - Mendelssohn: String Quartet No. 6 in F Minor: I. Allegro vivace assai – Presto
Watch the Aris Quartett play the opening movement, Allegro vivace assai – Presto, from Mendelssohn's String Quartet No. 6 in F minor, Op. 80.
The track is taken from our Musical Moments series: https://dg.lnk.to/MusicalMoments
Written in the aftermath of his sister Fanny's death the String Quartet stands among Mendelssohn's most intense and personal works. Aris Quartett brings sharp contrasts, restless energy, and tightly focused ensemble playing to music driven by urgency and emotional force.
