Rockabilly on a Jazz Guitar | Improvising in C 🎸
A little rockabilly, a little jazz, and a custom-built HC Guitars jazz guitar. 🎸
For this one, I'm improvising over a 12-bar, rockabilly-ish backing track in C. I kept the playing mostly rooted in the rockabilly/country vocabulary, with just a bit of a jazz flavor worked into the improvisation.
No planned solo — just the guitar, the groove, and seeing where the ideas go.
The guitar is a custom-built jazz guitar from HC Guitars, and it was a lot of fun hearing it in this kind of setting.
