Justus Eichhorn - Bach: Italian Concerto, BWV 971: I. Allegro
Justus Eichhorn performs the opening Allegro from J. S. Bach's Italian Concerto, BWV 971.
For him, the connection to Bach is a very personal one. Justus Eichhorn comments: “Bach has accompanied me since my earliest days at the piano.”
Inspired by the Italian solo concertos of Vivaldi, the work reveals Bach's fascination with Italian music, an engagement he developed during his years in Weimar.
