Luciano Pavarotti, Herbert von Karajan, La Scala (1967) - Verdi: Requiem: 'Ingemisco' (Excerpt)
We celeberate Luciano Pavarotti on the 91st anniversary of his birth on 12 October 1935.
Watch the legendary tenor sing an excerpt from the tenor solo 'Ingemisco' from Verdi’s Requiem together with the chorus and orchestra of Teatro alla Scala, conducted by Herbert von Karajan.
This performance is taken from Karajan’s celebrated La Scala recording of Verdi’s Requiem, filmed at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan in 1967.
