María Dueñas, Yannick Nézet-Séguin - Halvorsen: Chant de la “Veslemøy" (Excerpt)
María Dueñas performs Johan Halvorsen’s Chant de la “Veslemøy” with conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin and the Orchestre Métropolitain. Recorded for the film “Measures for a Funeral”, in which Dueñas also stars herself, the track brings a rarely recorded work to a wider audience.
Combining lyrical melancholy with a cinematic sweep, this orchestral piece is an invitation to explore a less familiar part of Halvorsen’s repertoire.
