Sunday Brunch: Funk, Disco & Polyrhythms with Shaqdi
In this mix, Shaqdi shapes a Sunday brunch soundtrack from funk, disco and intricately layered percussion.
Moving between elastic basslines, bright horns, cyclical guitars and interlocking drum patterns, the set brings together music from Pierre Akendengué, Boncana Maïga, Osibisa, Masters at Work, Tantra, Ismaïl & Sixu Touré, Onipa and more.
Made for late breakfasts, full tables and afternoons with nowhere else to be.
