Hello Dear Miss Swan Song 2024
Update on "Hello Dear Miss Swan Song"!
I recently got a question from someone at our show in Houston about the song I wrote for the McStine&Minnemann II album a few years ago.
- It's been a while since I listened to it, and I almost forgot I even had it.
As I relistened, I remembered how much fun I had creating this playful mad/fun piece full of musical detours, contradictions, and absurdity.
- I wanted the song to feel like a crazy cartoon soundtrack with nice chords and a hummable melody, then add some variety with different spices.
It turns out this piece was actually quite complex in its making, but I still find it entertaining. Over the last few days, I've been re-recording/re-arranging the song to give it a new soul.
- I even got to try out my new PRS Special/Piezo guitar, which received its maiden voyage serving as the vocal line for this piece!
