Rhythms of the African Diaspora, Soukouss to Salsa [Vinyl Studio Session] Mr. Nice
This week on Humano Sound, we have another Global Groove resident & advocate for international rhythm and dance. Mister Nice is an artist committed to musical production and the art of the DJ once he realized that there was a lack of musical genres representing large groups of people in this country. He sought to connect seemingly disparate genres within the African Diaspora, drawing parallels with music from Central and South America as well as the Caribbean.
His goal is to continue this ongoing musical conversation that has been going on across continents for ages. By doing so, he hopes to create a safe and inclusive space where all can rejoice in the necessary ritual: dancing together.
