GAS CUSTOM 14x6.5 Brass Snare Drum in 'Baby Pink' - Soundcheck by Bryan Macaranas
Video Description: Here's a recording of me exploring the tuning range of my 14x6.5 Brass Snare Drum from Gas Custom Drums, made in Melbourne, Australia by Scott Green.
I own a few drums from Gas, acrylic / Alum / another brass and in the past also a copper. And one thing I love about Scott's work is the ability of the drums to give me some nice open tones, all musical to my ears. Even some of the lower overtones that in the past I would not bother with, now I love to use for recordings and of course in sessions.
Always love drums that give me a multitude of gears - versatility with musicality is key. Check it out as I take this drum through different tunings. And zero muffling on ALL drums.
