A tribute to Ryuichi Sakamoto by Mariko Muranaka and Marco Minnemann (details in description)
We pay tribute to Ryuichi Sakamoto in our energetic/uptempo and virtuous version of 'Tong Poo'!
A few months ago, while recording another piece of music for my upcoming solo album, the wonderful Mariko Muranaka and me chatted a bit about our musical influences. We found out that one legendary composer played an essential role: Ryuichi Sakamoto.
Comparing notes and favorite tracks, we decided to give this sort of 'high energy' version its final touches. Now, we're excited to share it with you all!
We hope it brings some of you the same joy as we had putting this piece together.
