True Loves latest, "Dopus no. 1," is the B Side follow up to their summer time single, "Good Weed & Red Wine." Inspired by the band's festival performances with the likes of Lettuce, Femi Kuti, and The California Honeydrops, guitarist Jimmy James' jagged intro riff sets a serious tone for the song's journey. As the tune develops, the TL's horn lines glide over the influences of afrobeat and Curtis Mayfield, delving the band into new territory.
Joined again by the legendary Nigel Hall on Hammond Organ and Fender Rhodes, the epic "Dopus no. 1" is a glimpse into the evolution of the True Loves sound. Soon to be available on 7" vinyl!
