I recently visited New Jersey, where the legendary Thelonious Monk used to reside at Pannonica de Koenigswarter's house. It was a great experience.
- Additionally, I tested the DPA 4099 clip mic for outdoor recording.
The results were mixed - the clip mic picked up a lot of wind noise, so I ended up using only the line signal with minimal outside sound from the camera mic.
- For the line signal, I used an FM3 to "re-amp" and mix it with logic.
If you're curious about my signal chain and mixing/mastering setup, I've posted screenshots on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/posts/dont-know-why-110558726
